A Death at Dawn Book Cover

This Book Cover was a commissioned piece for Gabrielle Grey, a Fantasy author of the series When the Fires Break Through. This particular piece is the cover of her first book in the series titled, A Death at Dawn. The clouds casting over the scenic sunset are meant to foreshadow the civil turmoil within the novel and the castle is a direct representation of the royal families.

In addition to to the book cover, I developed illustrations of the book’s lead characters as well as a secondary book cover for her novella A Skinchanger’s Journey.
